Aspire is a Registered Youth Apprenticeship program supported by the U.S. Department of Labor. In short, this is a program that connects schools & the community to the US Department of Labor. Students will apply, interview, and be hired for various Department of Labor-approved apprenticeship programs. They will complete related instruction here at school and be allowed to leave school to work. Once students have completed their required hours, they will receive a nationally recognized certificate of completion from the DOL. In year one, OGSD will be the employer in 3 different areas. After what we hope will be a successful year, we will branch out to community employers.

Job Description:
Instruct preschool-aged students, following curricula or lesson plans, in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth.
Provides support to the teacher to ensure a safe and stimulating educational environment.
Assists the teacher in planning and preparing for daily activities; aids the teacher's instructional efforts.
Assists the teacher in preparing lesson outlines, plans, and curricula in assigned areas.
Plans prepares and develops various teaching aids for use in the classroom, including activity sheets, drawings, and similar handouts.
Presents subject matter to children under a teacher's guidance, utilizing various methods, including stories, discussions, and role-playing.
Assists children, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts.

Job Description:
A Custodian is responsible for keeping an area clean. They clean classrooms and other indoor areas as designated by the head supervisor.
Some may also complete outdoor cleaning work, such as sweeping sidewalks, washing windows, mowing grass, and shoveling snow.
Some Custodians perform light maintenance and repairs, while others can handle biohazardous materials while following OSHA safety standards.
