Aspire is a Registered Youth Apprenticeship program supported by the U.S. Department of Labor. In short, this is a program that connects schools & the community to the US Department of Labor. Students will apply, interview, and be hired for various Department of Labor-approved apprenticeship programs. They will complete related instruction here at school and be allowed to leave school to work. Once students have completed their required hours, they will receive a nationally recognized certificate of completion from the DOL. In year one, OGSD will be the employer in 3 different areas. After what we hope will be a successful year, we will branch out to community employers.
