Who are we?
Ogemaw County EMS operates 4 full-time Advanced Life Support Ambulances across the 575 square miles of the county. We are the sole emergency medical services transport agency to the 21,000 resdients of Ogemaw County. We have ambulances deployed over 3 stations: West Branch, Rose City and Mills township. With a call volume of roughly 5800 calls annually, Ogemaw County EMS Authority responds to 911 calls, interfacility transfers, event standbys, and provides regular education to staff and the public.
History Of Our EMS System
Ogemaw County EMS System was originally a volunteer service made up of hospital staff that ran out of the original Tolfree Memorial Hospital in the late 80s. In the early 90s the service moved to the fire stations, and progressed into a part time service. Ogemaw County EMS was established as a full time service in January 1997. At that time, the service was a county ran entity. Ogemaw EMS Authority was formed in July of 2006 and continues to grow today!
