ABOUT ME
My name is Ranae Pincock. This will be my 12th year of teaching, and my 9th as a middle school science teacher, I am excited to be an Oak Grove Eagle for my 3rd year! Although it has been a while, I remember what I liked and didn't like about school. Those experiences helped shape the way I set up my classroom and the learning environment I try to provide my students. I love science puns (well, puns in general), the good groan and eye roll kind. I love hands-on learning and creating things to show what I know. Tests... not so much.
I grew up in central Texas where I met my husband while he was stationed at Ft. Hood, serving in the Army. We moved to the Peoria area 20+ years ago. I have seven children, my youngest being a high school senior this year. After spending almost 20 years at home with my children, I went back to school to finish my degree in education. I graduated from Illinois State University in May 2014 and earned my Master of Science in Science Education from Montana State University in August 2024. When not teaching or spending time with my family, I volunteer in my community, go fishing, garden, sew, or stick my nose in a good book.
