About Mrs. Pincock

ABOUT ME

My name is Ranae Pincock. This will be my tenth year of teaching, and my sixth as a 6th-8th grade science teacher, I am excited to be an Oak Grove Eagle this year!  Although it has been a while, I remember what I liked and didn't like about school. Those experiences helped shape the way I set up my classroom and the learning environment I try to provide my students. I love science puns (well, puns in general), the good groan and eye roll kind. I love hands-on learning and creating things to show what I know. Tests... not so much.

I grew up in central Texas where I met my husband who was stationed there while he was serving in the Army.  We moved to the Peoria area 20+ years ago.  I have seven children ranging from high school sophomore to college graduates.  After spending almost 20 years at home with my children, I went back to school to finish my degree in education.  I graduated from Illinois State University in May 2014. I love learning and seeking out opportunities to know and learn more. It is one of the reasons I have gone back to school to earn a Master of Science in Science Education. When not teaching or spending time with my family, I volunteer in my community, go fishing, garden, or stick my nose in a good book.
