Classroom Procedures

Welcome to 2nd Grade.  I am so happy to have the chance to help your child learn and grow this year.  Here is some important information.

• Every Friday a newsletter will be sent home including the next week's Spelling words, vocabulary words, Reading skill, and important information for you.

• Tuesday nights are at home reading nights.  Students will bring their book home to practice reading the weekly story out loud to an adult in the household. I will also send home a reading log for you to sign and return.

• We have a practice Spelling Test every Monday.  

• The Final Spelling Test is Friday unless your child earned a 100% on Monday.

• We will have a reading quiz over the week's story, and weekly skill assessment.

• EVERY student will have the opportunity to be SUPER HERO OF THE WEEK!!!   They will be the line leader and class helper.  They will fill out a poster about themselves and share it with the class.  I will communicate with you when it is their week.
