September - Global Read Aloud This program links the curricular goals of Reading and Social Studies. We will be reading books that others are reading at the same time, making connections with students and teachers from other areas to enhance learning about culture, and we'll connect by sharing thoughts and opinions on the books that we are reading! For more information, see the Global Read Aloud Website.  Battle of the Books competition begins. See the state website for booklists and important dates. Students at the elementary, middle and high school levels read books from lists provided by the state level and compete against other schools to see who knows the most about the books.
