In our classroom, we use the Core Knowledge Sequence to provide engaging, knowledge-rich learning experiences that meet the Utah Kindergarten Standards across science, social studies, visual arts, music, health, and other content areas. Through stories, experiments, discussions, projects, and hands-on activities, students build background knowledge about the world around them while developing curiosity, critical thinking, creativity, and a love of learning. This shared foundation of knowledge helps students make meaningful connections across subjects and supports their continued academic success. I also include additional lessons and learning experiences as needed to ensure students receive instruction in all required Utah Kindergarten Standards.
