Hello! My name is Mrs. Garrett, and I am so excited to be your child’s second-grade teacher at Odyssey Charter School! I earned my bachelor’s degree in Marriage and Family Studies from Brigham Young University–Idaho and hold a Utah teaching license in Early Childhood Education. Before joining Odyssey, I worked with elementary students in several teaching and instructional support roles, including co-teaching second grade and providing small-group instruction in reading, writing, and math.

I am thrilled to begin this school year and create a classroom where students feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. My teaching philosophy is centered on the belief that children learn best when they feel connected, capable, and involved in their learning. I strive to build strong relationships, maintain high expectations, celebrate growth, and give students meaningful opportunities to develop independence and confidence.
