The player. A blacksmith without a will.
Theo's friend. A girl whose soul has no engine, and her heart has no vessel.
The God of The Underworld. The guardian of souls.
“Thelema” follows a young, unambitious blacksmith named Theo, who resides in Ancient Corinths, Greece. Theo is challenged by the Greek god named Ares due to his lack of will. Theo wakes up the next morning to the city in chaos and his friend, Katerina, missing- later informed that her mind, body, and soul is in possession of three notorious gods: Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus. The main goal of the game is to rescue Katerina, Theo’s best friend. In order to do this, the player must determine their true motive by building their friendships with the gods along the journey. The relationships established will aid the player when fighting powerful opponents, especially the stronger gods.
In the first chapter, the game will introduce the player to Theo, Katerina, Ares, and the player’s guiding god. The guiding god is established depending on the weapon the player chooses and the interactions along the way. In addition, there is a hidden voice that shares an alternative motive. Based on the players combat performances and quests, ambition points will be distributed to the player’s motive. This will affect the skills accessible to the player, leading to various combat strategies. The battles in the chapter include Ares, smaller entities, and the player’s guiding god.
This is the tutorial chapter to test the functionality of the game, but should be able to make the player fulfilled. Essentially, the goal of this chapter is for the player to strengthen Theo and understand the importance of saving Katerina. The obstacles along the player’s journey is how the player establishes relationships and fighting entities. The motives that the players may strengthen are love, law, peace, wisdom, or liberation. The other motives the players may discover is hatred, anarchy, chaos, trickery, and confinement. The only issue with using the alternative motives would be upsetting the guiding god or corrupting the other demigods on the player’s team- which may lead to a less composed team. By the end of the first chapter, the players should be strong enough to fight three mythical beings in a single fight- proving potential for the future battle.
