A cybersecurity Capture the Flag (CTF) is a competitive event that tests participants' skills in solving security challenges through hands-on exercises. Unfortunately, this means we will not be running around trying to obtain a physical flag.
Participants will solve security related puzzles in various categories (e.g., reverse engineering, cryptography, open source intelligence, etc.) to earn points for their team. Participants will compete using their own computer, usually with a penetration testing virtual machine installed-- teams of 4 will be decided by participants.

Bandit is particularly useful. Highly recommended to complete at least levels 0-12 of Bandit.
Hack the Box
Has some great labs and training materials. All about hacking. Can be challenging though. Make sure to join the university team!
