The Old Dominion Univeristy Library Learning Commons is an area located at the ground floor of the main ODU Library, serving as the main universal hub of learning on campus.
With access to more than 3 million resources of any kind, including journals, articles, books and movies, the knowledge students have access to is limitless. Collaboration rooms, computer desktops, printing resources, free professional equipment rental, tutoring, writing help and many more are either available at, or in close proximity (within the library) to the ODU Library Learning Commons.
The computers, however, are a bit "rusty", the environment is not always appealing to students, and the knowledge of how to utilize some resources, is "reserved" for only a few.
Our Plan of Action
Add modern bar tables along entrance
Upgrade computer and printing systems all around the library
Add a relaxing zen reading area to relieve stress and promote well-being
Dedicate a team of library workers as "tech experts"
