Odessa High School offers two different options for students to earn credit during summer school. We offer an in-person session at OHS in June or a virtual session provided by Fueled by Launch out of Springfield Public Schools in June and/or July. Students can participate in one or both types of sessions but are limited to only two classes per monthly session. Please see the information below regarding each type of program and how to register. In-Person Summer School Dates: May 28-June 25
Block I: 8:00am-11:00am
Block II: 11:30am-2:30pm
Summer School Attendance Policy: Students are allowed to miss up to two (2) class periods in any course regardless of the reason. Three (3) tardies in any one (1) class period will count as an absence. Any student who does not meet the attendance policy will be dismissed from summer school and not receive credit.
No school on June 19th.
There is no fee to attend summer school.
All students can receive a free breakfast and lunch, concessions will be available for additional items for purchase.

Odessa High School offers a summer school program for students to earn credits towards graduation requirements. Students can take up to two (2) in-person courses from the list below during our summer session or one (1) in-person class and one (1) virtual course.
Virtual Summer School Information
OHS students can participate in virtual summer school through the Fueled by Launch program. These courses are provided by an outside vendor during the months of June and July so they are not taught by OHS teachers. The virtual format provided flexibility as it is designed so students will have access to their course materials 24hrs a day and do not need to be logged on at a certain time. Each teacher will have designated office hours where they will be available for students connect if they need additional help. Students enrolled in virtual PE courses will receive a Garmin device that will be used to track their physical activity. These devices must be returned to the Counseling Center upon completion of the course. The enrollment deadline for Virtual Summer School is May 5th.
June Virtual Session Dates: June 2-June 27
July Virtual Session Dates: June 30-July 25
Students may attend more than one session of summer school at a time but may only earn up to 1 credit during each session, and up to 2 credits total during the summer. All courses taken will be transcribed on the high school transcript and will be counted towards graduation requirements and GPA. The withdrawal date for virtual summer sessions is by 4pm on the second day of classes (June 3rd and July 1st).
