GPAA's Black Box Players is proud and excited to invite you to their Spring 2024 musical: The Lightning Thief: A Percy Jackson Musical. Show dates are Thursday, March 21 and Friday, March 22. Both shows are at 6 pm in the Gia Prima Black Box. Tickets are $12 each. Ticket sales open 3/12 at 7:15 am and close 2 hours prior to the performance. After that time, you must purchase tickets at the door.

Students must apply for graduation to receive a degree from OCC. The graduation application is available through Student Planning. Please login to your Ocean Connect account and click on Student Planning. Go to the Home page and select Graduation Overview.
Students should submit an Application for Graduation after registering for their final semester of courses at OCC. PAA students will apply for Summer 2024 graduation and will be able to walk in the May 2024 Commencement ceremony.
Once your application for Summer graduation has been received, you will begin to get emails through your OCC email address from the OCC Office of Registration and Records. The first email will confirm your graduation status. You will then begin to get email about cap and gown rental, time and date of commencement ceremony.
ANNOUNCEMENT: NATIONAL SHAKESPEARE COMPETITION

After you sign up, please read the student packet on the class work tab then fill out an audition form and fill out an audition form. You must pick a monologue from the Monologue packet to bring on Thursday, January 18th.
On Thursday, January 18th, judges Mr. Ciccotelli, Mrs. Little, and Mr. Mastroianni will pick a winner and a runner-up.
The winner must prepare an additional sonnet for the State Competition in Princeton on February 25th. You must be able to get there and back for the competition.
Winners receive at Princeton:
Winner $200
First Runner up $100
Second Runner up $50
All students will receive a Certificate of Participation.
If you win Princeton, then you have to present your monologue and sonnet for the National Competition in NYC on the Lincoln Center Stage on April 29th. Again, you must be able to supply your own ride to and from the event.
Winners receive:
1st place: A scholarship to the Midsummer Conservatory at the British American Drama Academy in Oxford, U.K.
2nd place: A scholarship to the American Shakespeare Center’s Theatre Camp in Staunton, VA.
3rd place: $1000
