Mechanical Machines

This is the first level Lego camp I have been offering for 23 years. It is based around a Lego mechanical kit that allows students to build various machines. Students will be able to identify and use multiple control devices to transmit power. They will also learn how to change speed, torque and direction. There are ten challenges that students may compete with each and every machine they build. The different challenges are called:

• Tight Rope
• Cable Car
• Zip Line
• Dragster
• Monorail
• Mountain Climber
• Rock Face
• Incline
• All Terrain
• Tractor pull

Students also can take part in the annual Tractor Tug-O-War tournament. This is a double elimination tournament that allows for design, construction and modifications. This is a favorite of students.
