Principal's Message
Thank you for coming to our Meet the Teacher/Open House last evening. It was so nice to meet many families and see the excitement on your children's faces as they led you around the school. Thank you to our Convent Glen Catholic School Council for providing coffee & tea for our parent community and for the suggestion box! Many great suggestions were given. Thank you to our Educators for all of their hard work and for providing another fun BINGO card adventure!
We already have a few special events planned for the coming weeks. On September 25th, we will be having our annual Terry Fox Run/Walk (weather permitting). Students in grades 1 -6 will be following a route around the school property. Please complete the Off-Site Permission Form(sample) by Thursday September 18th that was sent home on Wednesday in paper form in order for your child to run/walk the route.
Kindergarten students will run/walk in their kindergarten yard. If you are interested in volunteering for this event, please email Mrs. Darch at laura.darch@ocsb.ca. Note that you must be on the school volunteer list in order to volunteer. To add your name to the volunteer list you must email the OCSB volunteer coordinator at volunteers@csb.ca to begin the process. Please note that a police records check for the vulnerable sector will be needed. The records check is sent directly to the volunteer coordinator and not to the school.

Parking - pick up and drop off
A friendly reminder to not block cars that are parked on the left hand side(old bus lane under the trees). Only one lane of cars can be parked there. Parking along side the cars that already park in that lane blocks families in. Please only use the one lane for drop off and pick up. Thank you for your understanding.
Pets
The School cannot guarantee that all animals on school property are healthy and free of transmissible diseases or other problems that may endanger human health. Please refer to the signs around the school property with the no dog signs on school properrt. Thank you for your understanding.

In his memory, the Rudhro Prince Friendship Award is now presented annually at 72 Catholic schools across Ottawa to a student who exemplifies kindness, friendship, and community spirit—qualities Rudhro lived by every day.
This walk brings together families, friends, and supporters to raise awareness about the seriousness of asthma while honouring Rudhro’s legacy.Families are encouraged to register directly for the walk.
