We understand there may be planning underway to prepare for the upcoming graduation season. To support this planning, we are including a few resources that may be helpful to share with school communities – with school administrators, school staff, students and parents/caregivers. 

Party Safer

Learn about the effects of commonly used substances and how to reduce health risks using party safer tips. Information on mental health, substance use health and violence prevention supports is shared, as well as how to access naloxone.

Duration: ~ 30 minutes

Overdose Prevention and Response

Learn about types of drugs, intoxication and overdose prevention. Naloxone use and the 5 steps to Respond to an Opioid Overdose are reviewed, and information on debriefing after an overdose and available supports is shared.

Naloxone Workshop at Ottawa Public Libraries

Register for one of the upcoming two, 30-minute virtual info and training session, followed by a 15-minute Q & A session. Two English and two French sessions are being offered.
