Weekly Updates

Week 1 : September 2 - September 6, 2019

Welcome to Grade 6! I am very excited to learn and grow with each of you this year.

Extended French - This week, we will be setting our learning goals for the year and working on our "Ma Capsule Témoin" projects. We will also be completing some activities to assess our individual oral, reading, and written levels.

Social Studies - We will be starting this course in October.

Music / Dance - We will be starting this course in October.

Religion - This week, we came up with questions that we had about religion, life, family, ethics and values. We will be using these questions as starting points for our discussions in weeks to come. Great job, Grade 5/6s! I was very impressed with the questions you came up with.

Week 2 : September 9 - September 13, 2019

Extended French - This week, we will continue working on our "Ma Capsule Témoin" projects. We will be presenting them to the class and then putting them on display for the open house on Thursday! We will be learning new vocabulary words and playing a game called "Trouve quelqi'un qui...". The questions on the back of the handout must be completed by the end of the week. Religion - This week, we discussed what it means to be a responsible citizen and began our first lesson from "Samaritans on the Digital Road". We also had a class discussion on what a prayer is and what they are for before working on our assignment of creating our own prayers. These prayers will be bound together as a class book and will be displayed at our open house later this week!
