Erabus: the complete personification of darkness
Last year...
There were 45,744 people who died from gun violence.
7,957 of them were children.
6,500 children committed suicide.
These statistics increase each year.
Many of these issues are also overlooked and underdiscussed.
Erabus and the Fall of Sparrows aims to change this.
Erabus faces these issues head-on by using art as its vessel. It portrays them with realistic characters and language, also providing resources and solutions for teens when they are in times of need.
Erabus is a play for high school students created by high school students. Not only covering topics important and relevant to today's youth (teen suicide, gun violence, isolation) it was made to be adaptable to perform any highschool across the nation.
Includes:
-High School-Appropriate Language
-No Depiction of Violence on Stage
-Gender Fluid Roles
-Minimal Props (Chairs)
and, of course: a message that matters to and empowers high school students.
" Erabus was one of the most touching plays I have ever watched. It discusses heavy topics in a way where an audience can leave, wanting to take action"
-Sophie Kim, Orange County School of the Arts Student and Assistant Director
