Coaching Philosophy

In order for all cheerleading athletes to have a fun and positive experience, it is essential to build a program with certain expectations. Below, you will find elements we think are the most important to a good cheerleading program.

  • Squads must be developed based on various elements. Cheerleading skills and tumbling are only a piece of what is needed to make a successful squad. Leadership abilities, classroom performance, and responsibility are also key components.

  • Cheerleading athletes must be willing to give and take, work with others as a team, and make a commitment for the entire season.

  • Cheerleading athletes at the high school level should first focus on academics.

  • Cheerleading athletes must follow the guidelines set forth and be active in establishing and/or revising the guidelines when warranted.

  • Cheerleading athletes should be a leader in the school and in the community and should always present themselves in that manner.
