Coaching Philosophy
In order for all cheerleading athletes to have a fun and positive experience, it is essential to build a program with certain expectations. Below, you will find elements we think are the most important to a good cheerleading program.
Squads must be developed based on various elements. Cheerleading skills and tumbling are only a piece of what is needed to make a successful squad. Leadership abilities, classroom performance, and responsibility are also key components.
Cheerleading athletes must be willing to give and take, work with others as a team, and make a commitment for the entire season.
Cheerleading athletes at the high school level should first focus on academics.
Cheerleading athletes must follow the guidelines set forth and be active in establishing and/or revising the guidelines when warranted.
Cheerleading athletes should be a leader in the school and in the community and should always present themselves in that manner.
