He has also served as a guest clinician for schools and ensembles throughout southeast Wisconsin. He has experience in many other performance Ensembles, Choirs, and Theatrical Productions.
Mr. Gregg’s passion and enthusiasm for teaching is evident through his nomination for the “Grammy Foundation Music Educator” award, and his involvement with numerous groups at every level. He is a member of WMEA, WSMA, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. As a respected member of his local teaching community, Mr. Gregg has been committed to improving education for students and colleagues through Building Leadership Teams, Workforce Excellence Committees, Mentorship Programs and the Oak Creek Educator's Association.
In an effort to enhance their student’s educational experience beyond the classroom, Ms. Fuchs and Mr. Gregg organize yearly week long trips across the U.S. and Canada, arranging transportation, lodging, meals, attractions and performance opportunities for up to 325 students, staff, and chaperones. Their commitment to music education as a total package is evident in their efforts to provide students with performance opportunities in all facets of music, including camps, clinicians, pit orchestra, solo/ensemble festivals, concerts and honor bands. This, along with their focus on character education, ensures that when students leave the Oak Creek High School Band, they are well-rounded musicians AND well-rounded individuals.
As a result of their dedication to their students, Ms. Fuchs and Mr. Gregg have led the Oak Creek Marching Knights to many Wisconsin State Marching Band AAAA Championships along with various visual and musical presentation awards. While this is an amazing source of pride, the true “win” comes from the hard work and sense of accomplishment when students leave everything on the field and go on to lead successful, responsible lives, giving back to their community and showing pride and respect in all they do.
