Category Weighting

At EMS, all math teachers enter their assignments under the same categories with the same weighting to be consistent from year to year. This helps our students and families know what to expect. Below, you will see the breakdown of our 3 categories and what type of assignments fall under each.

Homework/Practice 10%

In-class assignments which can include work completed in our Reveal workbooks, group work, digital activities, etc.

ALEKS 10%

Weekly topics and Knowledge Checks

Assessments 80%

End-of-module tests and formative checks for understanding
