We could not do what we do as young artists without the immense support and commitment of our community. We'd like to thank all past and present Visual Arts students for their dedication to the vision and mandate of the Arts Canterbury Visual Arts Program. Through their hard work, they embody all the reasons that Arts Education is vital to our development as human beings.
Thank you to our families, our Administration, our Support Staff, and our Teachers. Huge gratitude to our Custodial Staff, especially Katrina Ventura and Michele Thivierge, without whom display wouldn't be realized.
Our respect and love.
Congratulations on your accomplishments. The program has been enriched with your contribution to the creative vibe in our community. Whether you move forward pursuing the Visual Arts, or are on a different pathway, continue to advocate for all Arts and keep making. The world is a better place when your voice is heard through your work.

Dear Grade 12's,
Graduation is supposed to be a time of excitement for the future, and full of planning for a new chapter in your lives. Our world has sent you a curveball; but with no less opportunity. New experiences are always scary, then we adapt as it becomes our new normal. It may look different from what you imagined, but understand that your goals and dreams can remain the same. You are artists. Use that creativity in how you problem solve to see how to get the most out of your learning and your development. You are strong. You will grow. You will flourish.
You will be lovingly missed.

Greetings,
It is with great pleasure to offer a few words to encapsulate the observed growth of our graduating visual arts students during their learning in our Canterbury High School community. While the majority of our graduates joined our programme in September 2016, others augmented their secondary school experience contributing to our Visual Arts programme in subsequent years. Once at CHS our students were able to explore their artistic passion each day of their high school studies, develop their abilities and reach their potential.
The academic and artistic maturity of our visual arts students is clearly evident and has grown over the years. Each student has benefitted from the collective synergy that each individual artist brings to our class of 2020. The talent displayed in the work of our graduates is inspiring and the creations generate both reflection and possibilities for our future.
Graduates, I trust your time at CHS has provided support in your individual growth and helped prepare you for your post-secondary life and future endeavours.
Take care,
Alan Johnson
Principal
Mr. Brown and Ms. Swim would like to commend you, the graduating class of 2020, for your poise and grace in adapting and adjusting to the unprecedented challenges you faced in completing your year. Your willingness to embrace the abrupt change in circumstances that forced you to abandon long held plans is admirable and commendable, and will serve you well in the future, no matter what your future holds. We will never forget the Class of 2020 and we applaud you all. Rest assured, the future is bright. We wish you nothing but our very best.
