Databases in the VLE and some sites, like Canadian Encyclopedia, have a "cite" button on their webpage BUT many don't. So we recommend using the Citation Tool. Follow these steps to learn how to use this tool.
Click Citations
Pick the right Style (APA/MLA or Chicago)
+ Add citation source
Select the Source type. (i.e. Website)
Add your source / Search with URL
Copy the URL and paste into the Citation Tool.
Paste the source's URL into the Citation Tool (Search with a URL)
Assessed by WEBSITE or whichever Source type you are using (i.e. book, etc.)
Click SEARCH
If you have more than 1 option choose the right one then Click CONTINUE.
Click ADD CITATION SOURCE
When you are READY to create your Works Cited/Reference Page,
Click INSERT (Toolbar)
Click BREAK - PAGE BREAK
In the Citation Tool, Click INSERT WORKS CITED.
*Note: When you hover over each citation you have the Insert in-text citation. Use this within your essay/report.
