Vocal Music (AMV1O/2O/3M/4M) at NHS focuses on performance in a choir setting in our class during the timetable. Students develop their singing skills in a group, with opportunities (but no requirement) for solo work. Vocal Music students make up the Concert Choir, which performs several times throughout the year at school and in the community. Beginners and experienced singers are welcome and successful in Vocal Music!
Chamber Choir is our auditioned, extra-curricular choir for those singers looking for a more challenging singing environment.
The music we sing for all choirs comes from diverse cultures and time periods, and singers have the opportunity to work with local, national, and international singing and choir experts.
**Students interested in our bi-annual Musical Theatre Productions are encouraged to take Vocal Music as well as Drama for skill development. **
