Jazz

The NHS Jazz program is one of the finest in Canada, offering junior and senior jazz bands for credit, and extra-curricular jazz combos. 

The NHS Jazz Orchestra has been named the most outstanding Jazz Ensemble at Capital Region MusicFest for the last two years, and the jazz ensembles at Nepean have earned numerous Gold Standards at both Capiral Region MusicFest and MusicFest Nationals.

The NHS Jazz Orchestra performs regularly at the Ottawa Jazz Festival, and the Nepean jazz ensembles have shared the stage with many professional jazz musicians including Petr Cancura, Mike Tremblay and Sarah Ramsay.
