MRS. CAROLYN MATSON

Hi everyone,

I am the teacher for the PSN classroom at Knoxdale. I have been with the OCDSB for 15 years. My focus has been in teaching early years ages (K-3). I have a deep knowledge of how children develop and believe that children learn best through play, hands-on investigation and exploration. I have specialist qualifications in both Special Education and Kindergarten.

I am a very active person! I love to swim, kayak, snowshoe and hike. I also love to cook and read. I am a mother of two adult children. My daughter Laura is a teacher, living in Denmark. My son Ryan is doing a Commerce degree at Ryerson University/Metropolitan University of Toronto.

Together, our team will do everything we can to keep your child safe and happy with us at school! Your child's social, emotional well-being along with academic learning and skills development is our priority. I look forward to working with you.
