GHS is excited to host a Homework Club for any Ontario high school student needing support after school hours. Teachers are available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the GHS library.
Teachers can help with Math, Physics, English, and other subjects. While it is free, please have your OEN number to sign up. Likewise, students can also attend Homework Club if they simply want a quiet place to work.
Libraries
The Ottawa Public Library (OPL) is the largest bilingual public library in North America. Register for an OPL card and borrow books, video games, telescopes, musical instruments, use Maker Space tools, access Online Resources for language learning, courses and more! OPL no longer charges late fees.
The Smart Library Consortium gives residents of the National Capital Region access to 12 library and museum collections, including Carleton and Ottawa universities, La Cité and Algonquin colleges, and the National Art Gallery. If you have an OPL card and are 16 years of age, you can register for a Smart card at no charge.
The Internet Archive is a digital library of over 30 million print materials, 15 million audio files, 4 million images, 2 million software apps, 2000 arcade games, 250 000 concerts, and 800 billion websites on its Wayback Machine.
Project Gutenberg is a digital library of over 70 000 free eBooks. PG was founded by Michael Hart, the inventor of the eBook!
JSTOR is a popular digital library of academic journal articles. Mostly available by paid subscription but their free content is available here.

Toronto Public Library Digital Archives - Great primary sources for history of wars in Canada, historic images from Canadian history, and more.
The Library of Congress - Currently at 21 petabytes of digitized material, this US library is the largest in the world. Their Digital Collections are free to the public. Explore audio, photographs, films, newspapers, maps, rare books, and more!

Excellent website that offers free courses in subjects like math, physics, and computer programming. Videos explain difficult concepts and frequent tests can check your learning.
Educational YouTube channel offers courses on subjects like history, literature, science, and philosophy. Their "Study Skills" course is highly recommended!
Educational YouTuber Paul Anderson makes videos with a focus on STEM. Choose "AP" if looking for more advanced, in-depth info.
"Pomodoro Technique" - Anyone can work for 20 minutes! Set your timers! "Mind Maps" - Try sketching out your ideas by hand or use an app like Mindomo.
