Welcome to Computers at AY

Thank you for visiting the website for A.Y. Jackson Secondary School Computer Science. We are excited to share with you all the wonderful opportunities that exist with a good knowledge of computers.

Here at AY we offer 3 course of computers. Grade 10 is an Introduction to Computer Studies, Grade 11 Introduction to Computer Science and Grade 12 Computer Science. We will guide students through the very basics of computers right through to advance computer concepts. Starting with creating Apps for children through to major group projects, students will learn through supportive multifaceted lessons in a dynamic classroom.

Our School offers support for all our students' different learning styles. There is lessons with powerpoints and coding together, online video's, one on one, outside volunteers from the industry and peer helping. We do group and individual work both on and off the computers. Each student has their own computer so there is no need to go buy a computer to assist with this class. We extra help is offered at lunch as well as before and after school.
