ASL with Saporito is a new YouTube series hosted by Vincent Saporito, who is deaf, and is a teacher for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in Huntington Beach, California. He also teaches ASL to all ages, including a local College. He is passionate about using the Dual Language Approach (ASL/English as language separation) and loves ASL!

StraightUP Abilities is rooted in Los Angeles and provides low cost dance and movement training to children and adults with different abilities in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. For budding poets and creative writers, this workshop takes you into the basics of writing acrostic poetry. An acrostic poem is unique -- the first letter of each line spells out your chosen word. Begin with a favorite word or name, and practice brainstorming related words and adjectives. All you need is your mind and your creativity!
Braille Institute of America (BIA), founded in 1919, provides those with low vision or total blindness comprehensive classes for increased independence. BIA’s Anaheim campus offers a strong arts program that encompasses diverse media: tactile painting, digital photography, printmaking, fiber art, ceramics, sculpture, art history, creative writing, and mosaic.
Explore traditional poetry forms from Japan. For budding poets and creative writers, this workshop provides you with the basics of writing haiku poetry (hint: it's more than just 5-7-5 syllables), as well as tanka poetry -- a close cousin to the haiku. You'll learn about the basic histories and structures of each poetic form, as well as explore famous examples.

SAUSD teachers Douglas and Jennifer Lord are the founders and directors of a creative performance center and arts charity, “The Butterfly House.” At this location, we have two adjoining studios located in the historic Knights of Pythias building, overlooking the bustling activity of downtown Santa Ana. We welcome poetry readings, book signings, theater-in-the-round, musical and dance performances. With support from patrons, our mission is to build community wealth, one performance at a time and to strengthen relationships between local youth in the arts and supporting arts organizations.
