About the Fusion Language (Grenglish)
The language I use in these poems is a deliberate fusion of English and Greek: a way of writing that reflects a life lived between cultures, countries, and identities. It is not a joke, nor an accident, but a natural expression of someone who thinks in two languages at once. English gives structure, rhythm, and accessibility, while Greek carries emotion, memory, mythology, and deeper meaning. When the two blend, a third voice appears: a hybrid language that mirrors the experience of migration, nostalgia, and the Odyssey; like journey of leaving and returning. Grenglish becomes a place where identity is not lost, but expanded; where ancient words breathe inside modern sentences; where belonging is not fixed to one shore. It is the language of someone who has travelled, observed, survived, and transformed: a language of in-between spaces, where home is carried inside the voice itself.
