1. 子どもの頃の憧れが現実の道に / A Childhood Dream Becoming a Real Pathway 

「私は小さい頃から洋画や洋楽が大好きでした。そして、特にHigh School Musicalというドラマに影響を受け、いつか海外の学校に行ってみたいと思っていました。…そして桜美林に合格した私にある日チャンスが訪れました。それがこのEnglish Passport Courseの案内でした。これは何が何でも入るしかないと思い、応募しました。そして、プレースメントと電話面接を経て、今こうしてこのコースで勉強ができていることをとても嬉しく思います。」
“Ever since I was young, I loved Western movies and music, and High School Musical especially inspired me to one day attend a school overseas. After being accepted to J. F. Oberlin University, I received information about the English Passport Course, and I knew I had to apply. After the placement test and phone interview, I was thrilled to be accepted, and I’m truly happy to be studying in this course now.”

2. 毎日が英語漬けの学習環境 / Immersed in English Every Day 

「週８コマで他の学生より4コマ多く英語の授業を受けています。もちろん授業はすべて英語で行われます。耳にするのも目にするのも英語ばかりでまさしく英語漬けの毎日です。しかし、1年半後の留学のことを考えると、もっと頑張ろうと意欲がわいてきます。だから今、少しでも海外で勉強したいと思っているのであれば、迷わずこのコースに入るべきだと思います。」
“I take eight English classes a week—four more than regular students—and everything is taught entirely in English. Every day is full of English, both what I hear and what I read. When I think about my study abroad in a year and a half, I feel even more motivated. If you’re even a little interested in studying overseas, you should join this course without hesitation.”

3. 英語を「使って」身につける / Learning English by Using It 

「留学をするのなら、リスニング力やスピーキング力が必要です。このような英語は実際に『英語を使う』ことで身に付く力だと思います。Passport Courseには、英語で自分の意見を言ったり、ビデオを見て感想を書いたりするなど、英語を使う機会がたくさん用意されています。クラスは人数が少ないので皆仲良しで、先生も一人一人をサポートしてくれます。」
“If you want to study abroad, you need listening and speaking skills—and those are abilities you gain by actually using English. In the Passport Course, we have many opportunities to express our opinions, write reflections, and interact in English. Our class is small and close‑knit, and the teachers support each of us individually.”

4. 成長を感じながら挑戦を楽しむ / Seeing Progress and Enjoying the Challenge 

「このコースを知ったのは、合格後に届いた資料の中にはさまれていた紹介でした。特別英語が上手いわけではありませんが、留学したいという思いで申請しました。ほぼ毎日英語の授業があり、課題も多く大変ですが、英語を習得すれば留学生ともコミュニケーションが取れ、英語で話すことが楽しくなります。この1年で自分のスキルがどれだけ上がるのか楽しみです。」
