#15 Keynote Animation and Magic Move
18/01/2023During this session, we will explore the various features and tools that Keynote offers to help you create visually stunning and engaging presentations, including the Magic Move and Animation features. Whether you are a beginner or have some experience with the program, you will leave this session with new skills and knowledge to take your presentations to the next level. We will cover how to use Magic Move to seamlessly transition between slides, and how to use animations to bring your content to life. Let's get started!
#14 PhET simulations, Circuit basics and Integrating iMovie/Clips with UOI
11/01/2023Learn hands-on basics about simple basic Electrical Circuits. You will have the opportunity to build and test simple circuits using a variety of components, such as LEDs, wires, batteries and motors. You will learn about the different ways in which components can be connected, and how to use circuit diagrams to understand the behavior of a circuit.We will also explore PhET simulations. Finally, we would use Clips / iMovie to create a video.

16/11/2022Curious about coding? WIT this week is about the basics on how to code and to teach coding/computational thinking concepts. This is a hands-on practical session that will leave educators inspired and wanting to learn more! This session is a great starting point for anyone interested in coding and will help set you up for the Apple Teacher Swift Playgrounds badge.

#9 Programmable Microcontrollers/Robots
09/11/2022A change of pace from our previous session on Apple Teacher Professional Development. This WIT session we will be delving into the world of STEM, Design Thinking and Computational Thinking Skills. Educators and students exploring physical computing tools such as Ardunio's, Raspberry Pi's, BBC Micro:Bits, Beebots, Probots, Sphero's start to develop a range of skills and sensitivity to design. These tools can be used to integrate into your units/subjects.

28/09/2022Join us as we explore Canva EDU. Canva is free for educators forever! Canva is a graphic design platform, used to create social media graphics, presentations, posters, documents and other visual content. The app includes templates for users to use. It is great to create quick professional looking graphics and a great tool for students to use to create posters, newsletters, graphics, videos and much more.
We will show you how to sign-up as an educator for premium access and show you how to set up classes for your students to join.

#6 Design Thinking 1&2
14/09/2022Join our session on Design Thinking as we explore the IB Design Cycle, creating a sensitivity to design culture, visible thinking routines and other share outs from Harvard's Project Zero's Research on Design Thinking.
This session covers a lot of the foundational skills of Design Thinking and will therefore be split into two sessions, part one and part two. This session is open to anyone who is interested to learn more about design thinking in the primary years and I am sure we will conduct future sessions on design thinking in case you are unable to attend tomorrow's session.
