We are excited to kick off our live WIT sessions with tools on how to showcase student learning with Virtual Reality (VR) using CoSpaces and FrameVR. View the whole pre-recorded version for EDUTech Asia 2021 - Here
As part of our preparation to return teachers back to school, the Technology Integrators offered a WIT session on the new updates to iPadOS 15 such as: Focus Mode, Quick Notes, Widgets, Multitasking and Live Text.
When we hear about VR (virtual reality), many of us think of expensive headsets and software. The truth is that students can explore, even create virtual experiences using Google for EDU tools and resources that are already accessible. Adapted from Tom Driscoll’s EdTech Teacher Webinar.
As it is Digital Citizenship week, we would like to provide an opportunity for teachers to learn more about effective strategies on how to teach Digital Citizenship in the classroom, resources, tips and tricks and integrating DigCit with Technology.
As part of our accreditation as an Apple Distinguished School. We like to keep teachers updated with the latest Apple Education tools and professional development. The Apple Teacher Learning Centre is a great place for resources and professional development sessions on how to become familiar with Apple products such as the iPad and Macbook. Once you have completed 6 sessions from the Apple Teacher Learning Centre you can become an Apple Teacher.
Canva is free for educators forever! Canva is a graphic design platform, used to create social media graphics, presentations, posters, documents and other visual content. The app includes templates for users to use. It is great to create quick professional looking graphics and a great tool for students to use to create posters, newsletters, graphics, videos and much more.
During our Design Thinking session we explored the IB Design Cycle, creating a sensitivity to design culture, visible thinking routines and other share outs from Harvard's Project Zero's Research on Design Thinking.
Have you heard about the #WakeletWave? Wakelet is an educator and student friendly platform / blog space where you can save, organize and share content from across the web with Wakelet.
Find out how Wakelet can transform the classroom for teachers and students.
This session was geared towards anyone who is interested to learn more about Google Workspace: drive, gmail, docs and slides. Beyond the general hints and tips, we will cover how mastery of these tools can help you become a Google Certified Educator and practical advice on how to take the exam.
Pear Deck is an interactive presentation tool used to actively engage students in individual and social learning. Teachers create presentations using their Google Drive account. Last year, we explored a premium trial version of Nearpod.
Pear Deck is similar to Nearpod, where teachers can add interactive elements for students directly into their Google Slides. The free version does have its limitations, however we will explore how you can make any Google Slide interactive and engaging. We will also be exploring the new Google Chat tools and user interface. For anyone who is interested to learn more about how to adjust to the new changes.
Padlet has become one of our go-to tools since we started learning from home. Padlet has enabled teachers to create engaging and collaborative activities for students to work together and share ideas. In this session we covered how to create different padlets for a range of activities. We also ran through best practice and recommended settings.
As many of us gear up for this new academic year, we’ve put together dozens of MacBook & iPad Tips & Tricks.
Thank you for attending our first WIT Session of the year yesterday. As promised, here is the PPT guide for your information. Zoom is bringing third-party apps integration with the general availability of Zoom Apps. These third-party apps are integrated with Zoom calls so users will be able to easily access them during meetings, making it easier to collaborate with colleagues and engage students in interactive activities.
