Dear Members of OIS Community,
From time to time life presents us with challenges which require a more creative and sustainable approach to everyday activities. Similarly, in response to the escalating COVID-19 pandemic, OIS is prepared with various solutions to ensure that learning continues.
We understand that learning is a collaborative and engaging process, therefore, our approach to remote learning is about going far beyond the simple transmission of knowledge via a computer. Remote learning requires careful and thorough preparation, and we have devoted time and effort into training students and teachers in using the various learning platforms we have available. We have run trials with students in class and they have been prepared for the online learning process. We have done this with both primary and secondary students, at OGC and JVLR. Starting Monday, March 23, 2020, we have to move to remote learning and we are ready!
At OIS, we stress on the development of resilience. Today, when we are faced with an interruption of school closure, we will do more than simply cope with the challenge... We will thrive!!
