Room/Equipment Info
The presentation rooms have overhead slide projectors, multiple screens, whiteboard, and cables for connecting Mac or PC laptops (HDMI and USB-C connections are both available in all rooms).
We encourage session chairs to use their own laptops. We can provide a laptop if needed.
Paper Presentations in Parrallel Sessions
Research paper presentations are scheduled in one of two formats:
Full paper presentation (15 minutes presentation and 5 minutes Q&A)
Lightning presentation (5 - 7 minutes presentation and 5 minutes Q&A)
Remaining time in the session: General discussion
Parallel sessions have designated session chairs. The session chairs are encouraged to use their laptops to conduct the sessions. Session chairs may choose to briefly introduce the presenters in the session. They are also tasked with keeping time and moderating the general discussion at the end.
We will provide links by email for individual presenters to upload their presentations in powerpoint or Google Slides format by the day before their scheduled presentations. If uploading Google Slides, please make sure that the share settings is set to 'Anyone with a link'.
Session chairs and presenters are requested to come to their designated room 10-15 minutes prior to the beginning of their session.
Moderated Sessions
Moderated sessions are intended for 60 minutes with additional 15 minutes of Q&A where the lead organizer will moderate a panel of experts to make separate presentations or participate in a moderated panel discussion. The lead organizer is responsible for collecting all the presentations and runing the sessions using their own laptops.
Poster Presentations
You are responsible for bringing along your printed poster.
We will provide a poster board made of cardboard to mount your poster.
If your poster is printed on a single large paper, you can use pins or tapes to secure it. We will have some pins and tapes for you to use.
The maximum size of your poster would be 48”w x 36”h. To use the entire 48”w x 36”h space for one large paper, please be aware that there will be two creases.
You can also print different parts of your poster on smaller papers and then pin or stick them to the board to arrange them.
Please see the photo of the poster board below for your reference.
The poster board will be mounted on an easel stand or placed on a table.
Your poster presentation is scheduled for 5 – 6 p.m. on June 19th (see detailed program for June 19th). You will have to be beside your poster during that time and be prepared to talk about your poster.
Your poster is expected to remain on display for the entire time you will be attending the conference and you are welcome to be beside it during coffee breaks.
