When Drag Queens Teach Nightlife at University

Featuring: Dr. Kareem Khubchandani

Dr. Kareem Khubchandani, Assistant Professor of Drama & Dance and Women's Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Tufts University. He is the author of Ishtyle: Accenting Gay Indian Nightlife and Queer Nightlife, and is also known as the performance artist and drag queen LaWhore Vagistan.

About the Series:

DISCO DÉJEUNER is a series of lunchtime conversations at Oberlin College open to all. Students from Prof. Greggor Mattson's Nightlife course will conduct these interviews and field questions from Q&A sessions open to all attendees. The speaker series is also a part of shared distance, a curation project by Prof. Al Evangelista in the Department of Dance.
