Lincoln City is set to captivate the hearts of everyone attending the 2023 Oregon Association of School Libraries (OASL) Conference on October 13th and 14th. Nestled along the breathtaking Oregon Coast, this charming town offers an array of attractions that combine natural beauty with cultural experiences and one-of-a-kind locally-owned businesses. Whether it's enjoying the beach, indulging in local cuisine, or exploring some local favorite stops, Lincoln City has something for everyone. We’ve gathered a list of our favorite places in Lincoln City to stop in for a bite, to find a new favorite book, to take a hike, or to find something fun and unique to remember the weekend by.

Bob’s Beach Books, 1735 NW Hwy 101 Lincoln City

Housed within what was once a brick factory, this establishment has been a culinary cornerstone for over 25 years, delighting countless patrons with its exceptional dishes and warm ambiance. Over the years the owners have transformed the restaurant into a unique, one-of-a-kind dining space that pays homage to its industrial roots while offering a modern and inviting atmosphere. Beachcrest Brewing Co., 7755 N. Highway 101 Gleneden Beach

Beachcrest Brewing Co. isn't just a brewery; it's a manifestation of the dreams of its founders, musicians Matt and Amy White. Their story began with many summers spent enchanted by the beauty of the Oregon Coast. Over the years, the allure of coastal living grew stronger, prompting the duo to take the leap and make the central coast their home. They set out to bring together the best elements of beach life, craft beer, and great music in one harmonious blend. With a deep love for their coastal surroundings and a commitment to fostering community, Matt and Amy's vision became a reality. Devils Lake State Recreation Area Lincoln City

Connie Hansen Garden Conservancy, 1931 NW 33rd Street Lincoln City

The Connie Hansen Garden Conservancy is a living testament to the vision and dedication of Constance P. Hansen, a woman whose passion for plants and gardening led her on a remarkable journey. Raised in Oregon and later residing in California, Connie returned to her roots in search of a place to cultivate her favorite plant, the Iris. In the quaint town of Lincoln City, she discovered a small home surrounded by wetlands, originally developed by artist Maud Wanker in the 1950s. What began as plantings near her home evolved into an intricate tapestry of botanical wonders. Her garden expanded as she collected rhododendrons, azaleas, and heathers, creating a lush paradise. Connie's artistic touch extended to perennials, creating vibrant swaths of color amidst meticulously edged paths. After her passing, the community rallied to preserve her legacy, and today, the Connie Hansen Garden Conservancy continues to nurture her dream, ensuring that her style and plans endure in this botanical oasis, where nature and artistry converge to captivate visitors.

Road’s End State Recreation Site, 5901 NW Logan Rd. Lincoln City

Here you will find a world of wonders, from tidepools teeming with marine life to the enchanting headland with its hidden cove. The sheltered location is a haven for sailboarders, drawing visitors seeking respite from crowded or windy beaches in Lincoln City. A short path leads to the pebbly mouth of a meandering creek, where quaint old cottages and homes dot the north beach. As the beach narrows to Roads End Point, ancient lava fragments create rugged islands where cormorants perch majestically. During low tide, intrepid explorers can venture around Roads End Point to discover a secret cove and beach, but caution is advised to avoid getting stranded by the rising tide. Additionally, Roads End is renowned for being part of the Finders Keepers program, where hand-crafted glass floats are placed along the coastline for lucky beachcombers to discover and keep. This tranquil spot embodies the essence of coastal exploration and serenity, offering a unique experience for all who visit.

Drift Creek Falls ,Lincoln City

Drift Creek Falls is a haven for nature enthusiasts of all ages, offering a delightful mix of natural wonders and outdoor adventure. This family-friendly hike guides you through a lush coastal forest, where towering trees and vibrant foliage create a serene backdrop. The highlight of the journey is the breathtaking 75-foot waterfall, a cascading masterpiece that never fails to awe. But the excitement doesn't end there—prepare to traverse a sturdy suspension bridge that soars 100 feet above the canyon floor, a thrilling experience that rewards with awe-inspiring views. For those seeking even more adventure, the optional 1-mile North Loop Trail beckons, leading to encounters with old-growth trees, vine maples, huckleberry and salmonberry bushes, and a medley of shrubs and ferns. Drift Creek Falls is a testament to the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, promising a memorable outdoor escape for hikers and nature enthusiasts alike.
