I am so excited to start my 16th year teaching! I have spent all 15 years at Oakwood Grade School in 6th grade. I absolutely love 6th graders! This year I will be teaching math, science, and writing. I look forward to many hands on activities and using Google Classroom daily. I love being challenged by learning new things and I hope to challenge the students daily. I have been married 13 years to Mr. Johnson who teaches social studies at the high school and have 2 children. Grady will be in 6th grade and Leah will be starting 2nd grade at OGS. I guess I would be considered the veteran teacher in 6th grade. This is my 26th year teaching with this being my 21st year in 6th grade. This year I am teaching Reading, Social Studies, and Writing. We use Google Classroom daily starting with activities as soon as students walk in the door. I love to incorporate technology, and often try out new software.

I have been married 22 years to my wife Angela. We have 3 children all of whom I have adopted. Tyler is 27 and lives in Iowa, Brycin is 22 (Brycin is autistic) he lives at home. Alexis is 18, she also lives at home. I have 4 grandchildren Joey, RJ, Colby, and Elizabeth. Elizabeth is 5 and lives with me. She keeps me on my toes.
