In our Monday assembly, Mrs Mehigan shared a story all about recycling and taking care of our planet. A little girl loved the beach she lived near, but after a storm the beach became covered in litter. Her community worked together to clear the beach proving that if we all work together, we can make a huge difference. We talked about how we can do this not only in our school, but also in our local community.
In this week's music assembly, we learnt about the koto, a half-tube zither - an instrument with many strings stretched across. Most kotos have 13 or 17 strings. The bridges on the instrument can be moved to tune the strings. The koto is played by plucking the strings with your fingers.
