Book Fair!

Each morning and afternoon next week (and after each Disco), we will have the annual Scholastic Book Fair on outside on the playground, weather permitting, or in the Oak Room hut.

You can buy books in advance via this link  and show proof of purchase when collecting. Simply enter our school name, Leigh Academy Oaks, choose your books and pay online. 

OR, pay on the day via card through one of our staff members. 

You can get a flavour of some of the books here, which are organised into helpful categories, 'Welcome to Reading' , 'Read alone' and 'Read on'. There is something from everyone from £2.99. 

Reading is such a key skill which not only unlocks learning for children, but takes us all on amazing adventures. 

Research has shown that children who are exposed to reading, including talking about picture books from an early age, are exposed to hundreds of thousands more words than if not read to.
