School Council Assembly

Following on from our UK Parliament Week assembly last week, we had our School Council assembly where children spoke about the importance of democracy and fair elections. Pupils spoke about the importance of having a School Council and the impact on pupils and the school.

In assembly, pupils have been using this opportunity to reflect on what Learner Profile Attributes will be important to demonstrate if they run for election.

Also, which attributes are important to demonstrate if they are not running but voting.

Applications are open for school council now, are available in classes from Y1 to Y6 and can be delivered to their teacher or Mrs Mehigan by Wednesady, 4th December.

Elections will be held the week of the 9th December and School Councillors will be announced at assembly on 13th December.
