Understanding Autism: An Introductory Session for Parents and Carers Space 2 Be Me are offering a training session aimed at parents and carers of children on the autism pathway or with a recent diagnosis.
Including the following topics:
● What is autism?
● Overview of diagnostic criteria
● Support suggestions
● Female underdiagnosis
● Masking
● Co-occurring conditions
● Dual diagnosis with ADHD
● Brief overview of Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA)
The session is designed and delivered by Space 2 Be Me Family Support Officers who specialise in supporting parents of children with additional needs including autism, ADHD and PDA.
