Leigh Academy Oaks- Principal's Bulletin 24

Dear Parents & Carers,

Another warm week has drawn to a close at Leigh Academy Oaks and it really has been a busy one. 

Plans for development of our outdoor areas are well under way and soon you will begin to see some changes to the environment as we begin to implement some changes to academy site. These plans involve expanding the opportunities our pupils have to 'grow' and 'look after' plants and vegetation. This will not only enhance how our academy looks but also give our pupils further opportunities to take pride in their academy. 

We have had two more educational visits this week, Year 2 and Year 4 have represented our academy tremendously on each visit. It has been a pleasure to talk with pupils about their visits and how much they have learnt. I was taught a few things about 'Big Cats' from Year 2 pupils that I will not forget in a hurry. 

As an academy, we do not allow nuts or nut based products. Please bear this in mind when sending your child/ren into the academy with their packed lunch etc. 

As the weather continues to warm up, please remind your child/ren that academy jumpers should not be tied around waists, they are to be kept in lockers/bags.
