Welcome to the Dogwood Hill Parent Teacher Organization!
As you may already know, the Dogwood Hill PTO serves many functions; all of them benefit our children directly. We are a fundraising and FUN-raising organization, and we need your help and support. We sponsor many programs for our children, including the Cultural Arts programming at our school, Bingo Night, School Experience Auction, Book Fair, Holiday Boutique and so much more. Over the past years, with successful fundraising, we have been able to make monetary gifts to the Oakland School District to update the lower playground with new basketball hoops, benches and tables, stage curtains in the gym, books for classroom libraries, and more, which our children use as a part of their regular curriculum.
Please take the time to read all of the information provided in the google forms. The PTO tries to be as paperless as possible, so please use the google forms below to submit your information, and please make sure your email address is correct on the forms. Your information will be published in the school directory and used by the PTO to correspond with you.
Sincerely,
Erin Beischer
Dogwood Hill PTO President
PTO members pay annual dues of $10.00 per family that help offset the PTO's operational costs and help support the many activities and events the PTO organizes. Members have access to the online directory. A classroom activity fee of $10.00 per child is required. The classroom activity fee, used by the class parents and/or the PTO, helps with the cost of class activities, parties, and the end-of-year activities.
We are also officially a 501(c)(3)! Therefore, your membership can be a tax write off.
When a vote is required, only paid PTO members can vote.
Two class parents coordinate classroom parties and make phone calls throughout the school year. Siblings are not permitted to participate in these class activities. Please be sure to coordinate all classroom activities with the grade level teachers. For example, what one third grade class does for a special event, should be what all third grade classes do for that event. Prior to volunteering to be a class parent, please be sure to be familiar with all of the responsibilities for which you are applying. We appreciate all of your time and effort!
A Harrassment, Intimidation and Bullying form must be submitted on a yearly basis in order to volunteer at the school.
Every volunteer must annually complete the BoE HIB form found in the interest form.
