Hub 5 is expanding our understanding of the English language, and in particular, figures of speech - similes and metaphors.

We are part of the Getting New Zealand Writing challenge through School Kit, a group promoting writing and curiosity in New Zealand schools.

We will be creating our own self-metaphor postcard, as well as a whole class 'Found' Poem poster.

We will be exchanging our class poster and self-metaphor postcards with the following schools.

5GF --> Pigeon Mountain School, Bucklands Beach , Auckland

5SL --> Elm Park School, Pakuranga Heights, Auckland

5RM --> Manakau Christian School, Manurewa, Auckland

We send our work off on Thursday 22nd March, the same day our buddy class does .. somewhere in New Zealand, to us.
