Associate Professor of Economics - Oakland University
I am currently an Associate Professor of Economics at Oakland University. I received my M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from Wayne State University and my MBA and B.S. in Accounting from the Lebanese American University. My research interests are in the fields of macroeconomics, energy economics, time series econometrics, and financial economics and my work has been published in professional journals, including Energy Journal, Energy Economics, Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, and Empirical Economics. I have taught several courses at the graduate and the undergraduate levels including, Global Macroeconomic Environment of Business (EMBA), Special Topics in Economics (MBA), Economics for Managers (MBA), Mathematical Analysis for Economics, Principles of Global Macroeconomics, Statistical Methods for Business II, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Financial Markets and the Economy, Seminar in Economics, Monetary Theory, Managerial Economics, and Principles of Microeconomics. I also have been named the Peterson Family Scholar of Economics for 2024 to 2027.
