Linguistic:
Written or spoken word
Video included on Sandra Bland page.
Foley includes videos that make use of many sounds, like unsettling music and raw clips of police brutality.
Aural:
Sounds -- Including music, silence, and ambient noise
Foley's picture included on the Bloody Sunday page.
Visual:
Images, colors, and style
A collection of media organized on the Michael Brown page.
Spatial:
Arrangement and organization
Picture included on the Tamir Rice page that includes hurtful facial expressions at the protest.
Gestural:
Movement -- facial expressions or body language
Clearly these modes make for a passionate and emotional project. Having words, visuals, music/sound, and a nice organization can make the message stand out more to an audience. Also, audience members benefit from having this information repeated through many modes, like how Foley explains the story of each victim, and then includes an informational news clip.
