The purpose of using Excel file: Students are from different departments and uses different statistical package later. For example, health science students use SAS and social science students use SPSS or Stata. There is no unified statistical software used among them except they all "have to" know how to use Microsoft Excel. It is very plausible that most of the students will have access to Microsoft Office later in their careers as the software has dominated the market. In order to keep the knowledge learned in this course from being obsolete, we intend to reformulate some common statistics procedures, plots, and graphs in Excel such that they are useful for students' careers.
