AMUN intercollegiate conference, Chicago, 2025
I serve as the faculty advisor to OU's Model United Nations team and offer a complementary Model UN course (PS 3605) each semester to support and coordinate the group's activities. The course explores the structure and function of the UN system and prepares students for intercollegiate competitions.
Many students enroll in PS 3605 for at least two semesters to earn credit for their participation, but also remain active members of the team throughout their time at OU.
Each year, our team travels to multiple intercollegiate competitions and ranks among the most accomplished Model UN programs in Michigan. We also host OU's annual High School Model United Nations (OUMUN) competition each spring.
Students interested in expanding their knowledge of pressing global issues while developing their research, negotiation, and debate skills are encouraged to consider joining.
Additional information about the team, including how to join, is available on MySail.
