I am an Associate Professor of Political Science at Oakland University (OU). I received my PhD in Political Science from the University of Colorado in 2016. I also hold an MA in International Relations from the Australian National University and a BA in Government and English Literature from St. Lawrence University.
My research spans the subfields of international political economy and international organizations. Broadly, my work examines the causes, design features, and consequences of international institutions.
I have diverse teaching interests, and offer a variety of courses within OU's International Relations and Political Science majors. These include: Introduction to International Relations, International Political Economy, International Law, and Data Analysis in Political Science.
I serve as faculty advisor to OU's award-winning Model UN team and teach a complementary Model UN course each semester. Our team ranks among the most decorated among Michigan universities. Each spring, we also host OUMUN, one of Michigan's leading high school Model United Nations conferences.
