Rooms: 107, 109, 110, and 113 (Darkroom) Wilson Hall (WH)

As long as you are registered for a class in this room, you will have 24-hour access to the facilities when there are no classes using them. Swipe your OU ID at the card reader next to the door to gain access. There will be a schedule posted outside the door. Keep in mind that the building closes at 10pm.  After that time, you will have to call the OUPD and have them grant you access.

114 WH

This room has 24-hour access. However, the laptops in this room are only available during class time. In order to remain compliant with University Policy and Procedure, students will be assigned laptops. The assigned list will be posted on the laptop cart. Before placing laptops in the cart, be sure that they are TURNED OFF!

Makers' Studio (Police and Support Services PSS-4a) - Map to Makers's Studio

This lab is open outside of class for all currently enrolled students. If the classroom does not have supervision by faculty/ staff the power tools will be locked and inaccessible. After hours supervised lab time will be made available throughout the semester and the schedule will be posted. Before access can be granted users must take the one-hour safety orientation and pass the exam with a 72% score or better.

·      Students are not permitted to work with power tools without supervision

·      Only students who have passed the safety exam and are enrolled in courses located in the Makers’ Space will be granted access

·      Garage Occupancy has a maximum of 37 people:

o   This number is derived when the space is void of equipment

o   If a piece of equipment is introduced into the space this number is reduced, e.g. a painting easel would equal an occupant

o   Faculty and Staff will monitor this number

·      All flammable chemicals should be stored in the flammable cabinets when not in use

·      All posted safety guidelines are to be followed

·      Ask for help if you are unsure of what you’re doing
